Not many people know this but being situated in Hawaii, we have a different quality of light compared to the mainland. It’s brighter, slightly harsher, and mostly overhead so when I get to shoot on the mainland I get really really really really really really really excited because I know the quality of light is just better and I personally love the challenges of shooting in a new environment. A lot of times in Hawaii I like to shoot a little brighter with a lot more energy especially since most of my clients are just rad, crazy loving couples but when I saw this light and as I got to know my bride I decided to shoot slightly darker with a little more mood. I personally love this shot even though it’s a little darker and moodier than what I’m used to.
